Cones
Eighteen Cones pair two chosen woods (and one piece of polyester) in the body of each conical element. Each cone has been machined and finished to a high polish. The cones use juxtaposition to emphasize non-visual characteristics such as resonance, texture, thermal conductivity or mass. This work is intended to be handled and experienced tactilely.
While impractical for gallery display, these and other cone-form works are rewarding to explore personally.
